SJNMA Summer Experience

Back to Admissions Overview

Summer on the beautiful grounds of St. John's Northwestern Military Academy is as energetic and bustling with activity as the regular academic year. With the variety of academic and recreational programs available to cadets and other young men during this time, we continue to advance the four pillars upon which the Academy is founded: Academics, Spiritual and Character Development, Athletics and our Military Traditions.

The Summer OPS program is available to young men in grades 7 to 12 with the goal of advancing themselves in a new class, or to renew a class to help increase their grade point average and credit requirements. This hands-on, project-learning environment will also include sports activities, leadership training and character development. Included in this five-week program will also be an English as a Second Language (ESL) program for international students and an ACT Preparation class to help students in their upcoming college testing requirements.

Camp St. John's Northwestern is an adventure camp for young men ages 11 to 16. This high-energy, seven-day camp is designed to promote leadership, self-confidence, team work and physical endurance.

Give the Gift of Camp

Camp St. John's Northwestern is an experience every young man will remember for years. There’s nothing quite like hearing your young man as he describes with pride the great experiences he had and the new friends he made. A Camp St. John’s Northwestern experience provides young men a nurturing and safe environment with extraordinary learning and leadership opportunities that promote self-confidence and enduring memories.

If you are looking for a holiday gift idea for your son, nephew or grandson, gift certificates are available for our summer 2010 adventure camp. There are three, one-week camp sessions in July, which run Sunday to Saturday.

Session 1:  July 11 – 17
Session 2:  July 18 – 24
Session 3:  July 25 – 31

Payment options are available for those who wish to plan their summer activities early. To purchase a gift certificate, contact Judy Rutherford in the Enrollment Office at (262) 646-7297, (800) 752-2338 or jrutherford@sjnma.org.
